Our Commitment to Equality and Diversity
At Odiham and Old Basing Health Centre, we are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. We believe that every patient, visitor, and member of staff should be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
We aim to:
• Provide healthcare services that are accessible and responsive to the needs of all individuals.
· Ensure that no one experiences discrimination or disadvantage when using our services or working within our practice.
• Foster an inclusive environment where differences are valued and everyone feels welcome and supported.
• Continuously review our policies and practices to uphold equality and comply with relevant legislation, including the Equality Act 2010.
Staff Responsibilities
All staff members have a duty to:
• Treat patients, colleagues, and visitors with respect and fairness at all times.
• Challenge and report any discriminatory behaviour or practices.
• Ensure that their actions and decisions reflect our commitment to equality and diversity.
• Complete mandatory equality and diversity training and keep their knowledge up to date.
• Support patients with additional needs, ensuring reasonable adjustments are made where required.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Raising Concerns or Complaints
We take equality and diversity seriously. If you feel you have been treated unfairly or have concerns about discrimination, please let us know. You can raise concerns by:
• Speaking to a member of staff or the Practice Manager.
• Contacting us via phone or email.
• Using our formal complaints procedure, available at reception or on our website.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
